hey, based on a bar conversation i thought I'd write this up - I'm at work so it will be quick and dirty
Youtube is great but sometimes you want that media (whether to edit or on an iphone type thing)
the easiest way to download it is to use kickyoutube.com. you search for your clip in youtube then type kick in front of youtube
like this: http://kickyoutube.com/watch/?v=3MVtE7C-YVc
it will take a minute and then up top there is a menubar of sorts to choose your format and then download....
you can also download screengrab programs like snapzpro. For just audio you can use audio grab programs like audio hijack or wiretap. (all for mac btw - i don't know pc's)
i used this to download instrumental versions of songs to edit with (type instrumental or karaoke) and really enjoyed the internet yesterday and the fact that so much is there.
